Malagos has won various citations and awards for its high quality products, taste and cocoa excellence program. Despite, of its own harvest of cacao beans, Malagos source from and work closely with over 90 small farmers in the area.
The Malagos Chocolate Museum was established on March 8, 2017 in Malagos Garden Resort, the first in the country. The entire process of planting, growing, fermentation, drying, sorting, roasting, and production of the chocolate is done on Malagos farm, giving the products more pronounced and distinctive taste.
Malagos beans are produced from Trinitario (hybrid of Criollo and Forastero), which is considered one of the finest cacao beans in the world. Chocolate specialists know that exceptional chocolate is something that can mark its origins and can be manufactured consistently.
In 2007, the Mars Cocoa Sustainability Team established the Mars Cocoa Development Center with Puentespina family, from where Malagos team learned to process high-quality beans that they were able to export eventually. In turn they passed on this knowledge to the local farmers.

The company aims to maintain a stature for sustainable and ethical farming, for production procedures which adhere to the strict quality standards, and for persistence in maintaining excellence in everything that it does.
